Nottingham City Business Club has put a team together made up of Club’s President Ian Roberts along with fellow Council members Mark Deakin, James Simmonds, Charlotte Moreland, Ross Davies, John Collins, Simon Gray and myself (NCBC President 2011/12)
On the night of Thursday 11th October we will be in the esteemed company of a large number of the Nottingham business Community all coming together with the aim of raising over £100,000 for three charities working with local people who ae homeless or at the risk of becoming homeless or living in poverty.
We will be spending a, potentially cold and wet, night under the stars at Notts County’s Meadow Lane ground.
We appreciate this will only be giving us a small taste of the lives many individuals sleeping rough across the UK experience on a nightly basis and our discomfort by comparison will only be minimal and exceptionally short lived, but we want to do our bit to raise awareness of the severity of this situation in towns and cities across the UK and particularly here in Nottingham.
The money raised through the CEO Sleepout will go to support three local Nottingham charities: Notts County’s Football in the Community, Emmanuel House and The Friary who all do amazing work!
